Bernard Richard Bester

It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Bernard Richard Bester in Waterloo, Ontario. Bernard was born on October 24, 1936, and he passed away on October 12, 2026, at the age of 89. He is survived by his beloved wife, Denise, and his children: Rick Bester (Kim), Phil Bester, Chris Lake (Ed), and Shawn Bester. Bernard was also cherished by his grandchildren, including Kurtis Bester (Sara), Kyle Bester (Miki), Kendra Schnarr (Zach), Becky Nesbitt (Nick), Brittany Lotz (Brian), Dustin Lake (Emily), Alisha Morris (Noah), Madi Jenken (Mike), Kailey Bader (Eric), and Taylor Bester. Visitation will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home Ltd., located at 507 Frederick St, Kitchener, ON N2B2A5. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 PM at the same location. Donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) would be appreciated by the family.
