Anne Elizabeth HOPEWELL
Anne Elizabeth Hopewell passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Hospice Waterloo Region, at the age of 83. She is survived by her loving daughters, Jennifer Payne and her husband Matthew, and Alison Bodendorfer and her husband John, and her sister Joan Ingham and sister-in-law Nina Hopewell. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Quinn and Olivia Payne and Riley Bodendorfer. Anne will also be fondly remembered by all her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her dear husband of 58 years, Ronald Hopewell, who passed away in 2022, and her parents, Kenneth and Marjorie Mountford, and stepfather Richard Evans. The family would like to extend special thanks to everyone at Hospice Waterloo Region for their wonderful and thoughtful care of their mother in her final days. Visitation will take place at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home in Waterloo on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church in Kitchener on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. James Brown officiating. A reception will follow in the Church Hall, and a private family interment will take place as the ceremony ends. In lieu of flowers, condolences for the family or donations to the Alzheimer Society of Waterloo-Wellington, MAREP-University of Waterloo, or St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church may be arranged through the funeral home.
