Anna B. Sauer (nee Adam)

Anna B. Sauer (nee Adam) passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 27, 2026, at the age of 94, at her home in Waterloo. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter for 67 years. Anna was a loving mother to Rosemarie (Henry), Anna Theresia, and Bob (Linda). She was a cherished Oma to Matthew (Sari), Kathleen (Bryan), Andrew (Sarah), and Zac (Rachel), and a proud great-grandmother to James and Avery. Anna will be missed by her brother Nick Adam (Charmaine), her niece Valerie, her nephews Derek and Michael (Holly), her great-niece Abigail, as well as relatives and friends in Canada, the U.S., and Europe. She was predeceased by her cousin Klaus Jaeger (Resi) and Peter's cousin Barbara Zaharescu (Dimitru). Anna's family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener. Prayers will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's RC Church, 56 Duke St. W., Kitchener, on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with a reception to follow at the Henry Walser Funeral Home. The family extends special thanks to Anna Theresia, the sole family caregiver, for the excellent care given to Anna and the late Peter over the last 10 years. They also thank the dedicated and caring staff at Pathways Therapy for helping Anna to learn to walk again, and the kind and compassionate caregivers at Mom's Village for their loving care of Anna over the years. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
