Amit Chatterjee

Amit Chatterjee passed away in Waterloo on March 29, 2026, at the age of 70. He is survived by his sisters Rita, wife of Satiprasad, and Etta, nephew Sujoy, niece Sujata, wife of David, and grandnieces Brina and Katie. He was predeceased by his twin brother Asit, his mother Bina, and his father Anil. Born in Malaysia, Amit completed his early education at St Paul's Institution, Seramban, and later pursued undergraduate studies in Montreal and Waterloo. He worked as an advertising executive in Malaysia and was an avid nature lover, particularly fond of birds, and enjoyed Rock and Roll music. The family would like to extend special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the dialysis unit at WRHN @ Midtown, formerly Grand River Hospital, and the staff at Waterloo Region Hospice. A cremation has taken place with a private family service.
