Kenneth HALYK

Kenneth Halyk passed away with family at his side at the Brantford General Hospital on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the age of 92. He was the beloved husband of the late Lucy Halyk (nee. Letwin). Kenneth was a loving and devoted father of Kim Halyk (Kathy), Annamarie Chambers (Ray), Susan Guy and Judy Willson (Wray); father-in-law of Peter Millar, Michele Halyk, and Linda Horeth; and a cherished Gigi of Cody, Victoria, Rebecca, Courtney, Christopher, Kaitlyn, Brodie, Nolan, Emma, Richele, Micheal, and many great-grandchildren. He will be missed by his sibling, Walt Halyk (Sandy), and Myris Carpenter (late Glen). Kenneth will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was predeceased by his daughter, Karen Millar, sons, Rick and Nathan, parents, Hnat and Anna Halyk, siblings, Rose Swidrovich (Walter), Bill Halyk (Joyce), Peter Halyk (Sally), Alex Halyk (Sophie), Ed Halyk (Dorothy), Johnny Halyk, Irvin Halyk (Ann), Sidney Halyk (Sonja), Lawrence Halyk (Olga), Andy Halyk (Jean) and Sam Halyk (Emilly). Visitation will be held at the Thompson Mott Funeral Home, 62 Main Street N, Waterford, on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel with Rev. William Makarenko officiating. Interment in Waterford Greenwood Cemetery. If desired, donations to St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
