Gerard Sr. "Gerry" KLUNDER

Gerard Sr. 'Gerry' KLUNDER of Waterford passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026, at the age of 89, surrounded by his loving family at Norfolk General Hospital. Born in 1937 in Twello, the Netherlands, Gerry immigrated to Canada with his parents and nine siblings in 1952. He married the love of his life, Tinie Plas, in 1961, and together they raised seven children and farmed near Brantford. Gerry was a steel worker, retiring from Stelco's Nanticoke plant in 2002. He and his wife moved to Waterford in 1993, where they were active in their church community and volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul and Senior Services. Gerry was a skilled woodworker, tended a large garden, and enjoyed various hobbies. He was the beloved husband of Tinie for nearly 65 years and father of Mary Kennaley (Mike), Bernie Shuttleworth (Tom), Tricia, Gerry (Elke), Brian (Melanie), Paul (Tanya), and Cathy (Rob Crawford). He was cherished Opa of Ben (Taylor), Max (Victoria), Emily (Paddy), Willem (Grace), and other grandchildren.
