Aaltje "Ali" (nee de Olde) GELDERMAN

Aaltje 'Ali' Gelderman passed away on July 4, 2026, at the age of 96. She was predeceased by her husband, Jan Gelderman, in 1993, and her grandson Timothy Gelderman. Ali is survived by her children Hank and Jacoba Gelderman, Gertrude and Solke De Boer, Albert Gelderman, Harry and Yolanda Gelderman, and Janetta and Bob Howson, as well as 23 grandchildren and 72 great-grandchildren. Born on November 10, 1929, in Oud-Avereest, The Netherlands, Ali immigrated to Canada in 1951 with her husband. She supported her husband's landscaping business and nursery, and later volunteered at Mayfield School for the mentally handicapped, developing lifelong friendships with the students. Ali's strong Christian faith guided her throughout her life.
