Patricia Ann Barnes

Patricia Ann Barnes passed away on March 3, 2024, at the age of 90. Born in 1934 in Detroit, Michigan, she was the beloved wife of the late Bill Barnes, who predeceased her in 2016. She is survived by her children, Patsy (Andrew Jago), Betty Ann (the late Dexter Watters), Mary, and Bill Jr. (Sarah), as well as her grandchildren, Danny (Christie), Jaclyn (Scott), and great-grandchildren, Abbigale, Noah, Sam, Troy, and Craig. She was predeceased by her brother, Herbie (1951), and her parents, Herb (1963) and Verdia (1971). Patricia and her late husband, Bill, were the proprietors of Cedar Grove Park On the Bay, a family business since 1944. They also owned the Drumbeat and Cedar Grove Dance Halls, Cedar Grove Park, and Mini Putt. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home - Stayner Chapel on Friday, March 8, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Jubilee Presbyterian Church on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 11 o'clock. Interment will follow at Stayner Union Cemetery. A reception will be held afterwards. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by her family.
