John Alexander McNiven
John Alexander McNiven of Wasaga Beach, Ontario, passed away on August 20, 2026, at the age of 87. He was predeceased by his son Daniel and his siblings Donald, Frances McNabb, Mary Duits and Elizabeth Letourneau. He is survived by his wife Colleen; his children Cindy (married to Larry Giffen), Sherie Britnell and John (married to Jennifer); his grandchildren Ryan (married to Kate), Ashley (married to John), Colin (married to Jennifer), Kristen (married to Dave), Kayla (married to Zac), Hunter, Alexander, Liam and Lily; his great‑grandchildren Austin, Allis, Harrison, Jack, Grace, Holden, Brax, Cali, Brady, Brie, Lylah, Quinn, Charlee and Iris; his siblings Isabelle (married to Wallace Black) and Harold (married to Marianne); his siblings‑in‑law Iris McNiven and Dennis Curtis (married to Sharon); as well as nephews and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Jubilee Presbyterian Church, 7320 ON‑26, Stayner, ON L0M1S0, followed by a memorial service from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and a reception from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the same location. The family requests that donations be made to Jubilee Presbyterian Church or the Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation for Campbell House.
