Anna Gertrude O'Malley (née Fischer)

Anna Gertrude O'Malley, née Fischer, of Walkerton and formerly of Culross Township, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026, at the age of 102, surrounded by her family at South Bruce Grey Health Centre. Born on June 22, 1924, Anna was a devoted Catholic and faithful parishioner, with her unwavering faith guiding her through life's joys and challenges. She married Thomas Peter 'T.P.' O'Malley in 1942 and together they raised twelve children, instilling in each of them the values of kindness, perseverance, and the importance of family. Anna is survived by her children, Margaret Strong and her husband John, Joan O'Malley, Dorothy Lesage and her husband Phillip, John O'Malley and his wife Sharron, Bill O'Malley and his wife Jane, Patrick O'Malley and his wife Nancy, Kevin O'Malley and his wife Phylis, and Larry O'Malley and his wife Connie, as well as her mother-in-law, Norma O'Malley. She is also survived by her sisters, Alice MacTavish and Bernice Straicher, 22 grandchildren, and 38 great-grandchildren. Anna was predeceased by her husband Thomas Peter O'Malley, children Paul, Anita, Dennis, and Michael, great-grandson Darhrian Scharschmidt, parents Michael and Ludwina Fischer, brothers Bob and Michael Fischer, and sisters Rose Strauss, Dorothy Lindsay, Bea Edgar, Helen Fischer, and Magdelin Fischer. Visitation will be held at Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater, on July 28, 2026.
