Edward Louis VASSO

Edward Louis Vasso, also known as Eddie, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026, at the age of 91, after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his wife of 38 years, Rose. Eddie is survived by his companion of over 20 years, Ursula, as well as his nieces, nephews, and their extended families. Born in 1935 in New York City to an immigrant family from Italy, Eddie grew up in the Bronx, NY. He proudly served in the US military prior to coming to Canada, where he worked as a manager for Morse Jewellers and met his future wife Rose. Eddie spent over 50 years living between Canada and South Florida, enjoying golf, entertaining friends, and travelling. He will be missed by his many friends and acquaintances. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant House and the Scott Mission. Visitation will be held at Tallman Funeral Homes Ltd. on Monday, May 25, from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, May 26, from 1:30-3:30 p.m., with a Funeral Service at 3:30 p.m. and a Wake to follow in St. Catharines. Interment will take place at Prospect Cemetery, Toronto, on Wednesday, May 27, at 11 a.m.
