Eleanor Edythe (née Fraser) Smith

Eleanor Edythe Smith, née Fraser, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026, at the age of 98, in Kelowna, BC. She was just two months shy of her 99th birthday. Eleanor is survived by her son Grant, son-in-law Jeff Mitchell, grandsons Sean, James, and Mathew Smith, and grandson Tim Mitchell. She is also survived by her granddaughter Elisabeth Johnstone, her husband Jamie, and their children Katie, Hannah, Alex, and Emily. She was predeceased by her husband Ernest, daughter Vicky Mitchell, and her brother Arthur Fraser and sister Lorraine Hoyem. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on August 6, at Hamilton Harron Funeral Home, followed by interment at Mountain View Cemetery.
