Barbara Marion Akins of Trenton, Ontario, died on July 19, 2026, at the age of 88. She was born on May 15, 1938. Predeceased by her husband Gordon Robert Akins and her son Ronald Akins, she is survived by her children Margaret‑Ann Lain and Ross Akins, her grandchildren Bradley, Kevin, Cheyenne, Eileen, Gordon, Ryan and Dale, her great‑grandchildren Theo, Meadow Belle, Bethany, Emmett and Emma, her half‑brother Merle McMillan, and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Campbellford Memorial Hospital Foundation, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or Diabetes Canada.
