WILLIAM ALEXANDER RIGGS P.Eng., MBA

William Alexander Riggs, P.Eng., MBA, peacefully passed away on June 8, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on June 26, 1939, in Toronto to Marshall and Amy Riggs, he was the beloved older brother of Nancy (Don) Allen. Bill was a devoted husband to Sheila (nee Martin) for 55 years and a proud father to Amy, Laura, Robin (Dan), and his cherished daughter, Jennifer. He was a loving Poppa to Dylan, Norah, and Sadie, and an uncle to Chris and Jamie, as well as a cousin to Marg and Ryan. Bill's educational journey included studies at Lawrence Park Collegiate Institute, the University of Toronto (Chemical Engineering), and the University of Western Ontario (MBA). He was known for his hospitality, love of good food, and his welcoming nature. A proud Queen's Scout and active member of the Leaside United Church community, Bill was always ready to lend a helping hand, sharing his extensive knowledge of the outdoors and mechanics. His adventurous spirit and curiosity led him to explore various interests, including antique cars, motorcycles, and camping. Bill will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
