VEIKKO PULKKI

Veikko Johannes Pulkki passed away on February 17, 2026, at the age of 94. Born on May 13, 1931, in Finland, Veikko grew up and endured World War II with his family before immigrating to Canada. He worked in a lumber camp in Northern Ontario, learned a new language, and built a career as a carpenter. Veikko met his wife, Maire, and they shared a life together in Toronto, building a beloved cottage at Buck Lake where they enjoyed various activities. He was a kind and generous person who loved and was loved by many. Veikko is survived by his wife, Maire; daughters, Ella and Anni; grandchildren, Savannah, Rebecca, Josh, Jessi, and Jordan; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Sienna, Harper, Norah, Nevaeh, Vivian, and Isla; brother, Paavo; sister, Eeva; and many extended family members. He was predeceased by his wife's son, Peter. The family would like to thank the staff at Suomi-Koti Toronto and other individuals who provided care and support. Arrangements have been entrusted to HENDREN FUNERAL HOME – LAKEFIELD CHAPEL. A Memorial Service will be held later this year.
