Tony Akey

The family announces the passing of Tony Akey on September 6, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on June 27, 1937, in Toronto, Ontario, Tony was a cherished member of his family and community. He was predeceased by his parents, Reginald and Frances, and his siblings, Maria and Adrian. He is survived by his siblings, Peter (Rita) and Sandra (Earl), along with numerous nieces and nephews: Paul (Pat), Neil (Liz), Samantha (Terry), Pierre (Gina), Alida (Matthew), Charlotte, Rachelle, and Mark. Visitation will take place on Monday, September 14, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Ward Funeral Home - Weston Chapel, followed by a funeral Mass at St. Bernard de Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Tony will be remembered for his faith, artistic spirit, and the joy he brought to those around him.
