Theodore (Ted) Tomayer

Theodore (Ted) Tomayer passed away on April 19, 2026, at the age of 88. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Vivian, four children, their spouses, seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Ted was originally from Saskatchewan and grew up in a large family with seven siblings. He served Canada as a Warrant Officer in the RCAF during the Cold War and ended his career at the Federal Department Labour Affairs. During the last year and a half, Ted resided with Vivian at Sunnybrook Veteran's Centre in Toronto. The family is grateful for their support. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to The Royal Canadian Legion – Aurora branch 385 in support of The Poppy Fund. A service will be held on Friday, May 29, at 11 a.m., at Sunnybrook Veteran's Chapel, followed by a reception at Sunnybrook Veteran's Centre.
