Sofia Mantua

The family of Sofia Mantua announces her passing on September 5, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on September 15, 1934, in Toronto, Sofia is fondly remembered by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was predeceased by her husband, Leonel, and her siblings, Gloria, Eduardo, and Mariana. Sofia is survived by her daughter, Anna, her son-in-law, Tony, and her great-grandchildren, Maria and Lane. Visitation will take place on Monday, September 14, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Vescio Funeral Homes, located at 2080 Dufferin St, York, ON. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, 1037 Bloor St W, Toronto. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Daily Bread Food Bank in her memory.
