Simeona Basbas Castro

Simeona Basbas Castro of Toronto, Ontario, passed away on October 18, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on February 18, 1963, she shared her life with family, friends, and colleagues. Simeona was predeceased by her parents, Teodomino Basbas and Maria Basbas, as well as her sister, Glorita Basbas. She is survived by her husband, Jose Castro, and her siblings, Amanda Orpiano and Bonifacio Basbas. Additionally, she leaves behind many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Visitation will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Immaculate Conception Church, located at 50 Well St, Stratford, ON N5A4L7. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 1:00 PM at the same location. Memorial donations may be made to North York General Hospital through the W.G. Young Funeral Home.
