RICHARD WALTER KUBIG

Richard Walter Kubig passed away on April 27, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on September 10, 1941, in Berlin, Germany, he immigrated to Toronto, Canada, in 1952 with his sister, Renate Abels, and his late parents, Edgar and Elisabeth Kubig. He is survived by his wife, Luisa Marbelis, and their children, Robert, Daniel, Karyna, and Clarice. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Alec, Keith, Abigail, Rory, and Greyson, and his great-grandchildren, Ryatt, Wren, and Barrett. A Celebration of Life will be held at McDougall & Brown Funeral Home, 2900 Kingston Rd., Scarborough, on May 31, 2026, from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. Donations may be made to Crohn's and Colitis Canada.
