RICHARD ALFONSE BORECKY

Richard Alfonse Borecky passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026, at the age of 74. Born in Brantford, Ontario, to the late Walter and Helen Borecky, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and proud stay-at-home dad. Richard is lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years, Deborah; his daughter, Katherine; his son-in-law, Robert; and his cherished granddaughter, Evelyn. He is also survived by his brothers, Myron and Gene; his brother-in-law, Brian; sister-in-law, Donna, who was predeceased by her husband Eddie; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Richard was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Helen Borecky, and his parents-in-law, the late Bill and Olga Hudson. He will be especially missed by his neighbours, Mirko and Dennis, whose wife Helen predeceased him. A visitation will be held on August 5th from 5 to 8 p.m., and a funeral on August 6th at 11 a.m. at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, followed by interment at Mount Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
