Nelson Anthony Gauthier

Nelson Anthony Gauthier passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, at the age of 86, at Etobicoke General Hospital in Etobicoke, Ontario. Born in Truro, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Joseph and Ida Gauthier (née Shepherd). Nelson was predeceased by his partner of 40 years, Maureen Walker (2021), and by his siblings Harold, Raymond, Vivian, Jeanne, Jack, Arthur, Agnes, and Evelyn. He is survived by his stepdaughter, Shannon Walker, and granddaughter, Amanda Walker, along with family. For over 21 years, Nelson cherished his mornings at McDonald's on Carrier Drive, where he enjoyed coffee and scrambled eggs, forming lasting friendships with fellow patrons and former owners Ron and Linda. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
