Mr. Joseph Raymond Mallais (Ray)

Joseph Raymond Mallais, known as Ray, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026, at the age of 80. Born in Toronto on February 6, 1946, he was predeceased by his parents, Edmond and Cecile, as well as his brothers Ernie, Paul, and Daniel, his son-in-law Dan Ritchie, daughter-in-law Jillian Mallais, and sister-in-law Marlene Heath. Ray was the beloved husband of Mary for 62 years and a devoted father to Elizabeth (Dan), Jeff (Lizette), and Jason (Annette). He was a cherished grandfather of nine and a great-grandfather of two. Ray is also survived by his siblings Michael (Sandy), Pauline (Brad), and Doreen (Ken), along with many nieces and nephews. A dedicated millwright for over 30 years, he enjoyed working on old cars and spending time on his boat, 'It'll Do,' at Lake Couchiching. A celebration of life will take place on April 25, 2026, at St. Joseph's Parish, Toronto, with a short Mass service from 1:30 to 2:00 PM, followed by a reception from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.
