Mr. Joel Anthony Woodhouse (Woody)

Joel Anthony Woodhouse, aged 68, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026, at Michael Garron Hospital, surrounded by his siblings and dear friend Kim Annis after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on January 20, 1958, in Toronto to Marjorie (nee LaVigne) and John Woodhouse, Joel led a vibrant life filled with adventures and a passion for sports, particularly hockey, lacrosse, and his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. He is survived by his siblings John (Barb), Janice, Julia (Paul), Jaime (Cheryl), and numerous nieces and nephews. Joel was predeceased by his parents and two brothers-in-law, Ed and Robert. The family expresses gratitude to the Oncology and Palliative Care Unit staff at Michael Garron Hospital for their exceptional care. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 27, 2026, at 967 Pharmacy Ave, Toronto, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm, inviting all to share memories and stories. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael Garron Oncology or Palliative Care Unit.
