Born on March 18, 1963, he is survived by his parents, Fred Silk of Toronto and Margaret Silk of Mississauga, as well as his sisters, Alison (Shayne) and Jennifer (David), and five nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael's memory may be made to the Friends for Life Bike Rally, an organization that was significant to him.
