The family of Mernell Euphemia Cooper announces her passing on September 27, 2026, in Toronto, Ontario, at the age of 75. Born on May 24, 1951, Mernell was a cherished presence in the lives of her family and friends. She is predeceased by her parents, Eustace and Hazel Brooks, and her son, Shawn Cooper. Mernell is survived by her son, Richard Cooper, as well as her siblings, nieces, and nephews. A viewing will take place on Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Scott Funeral Home - West Toronto Chapel, followed by a celebration of life from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Burial will occur the same day from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Beechwood Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to send flowers or light a candle in her memory.
