Mary CARD

Mary Margaret Card passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026, at the age of 78, in Toronto, the city where she was born on May 5, 1947. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Jean Card, and by her sister-in-law, Helen Card. Mary is survived by her brother, Robert, and his children and grandchildren. A network of friends from her time in Hamilton, Kingston, Sydenham, and Toronto will also miss her. Mary had a distinguished career as a high school teacher in Toronto, teaching at Monarch Park Collegiate for 40 years and Riverdale Collegiate for 5 years, before retiring from full-time teaching in 2015. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Toronto Commandery Hospice or a charity of your choice would be welcome. A celebration of life will occur at a later date.
