Martin James Bjarnason

Martin James Bjarnason, born on March 9, 1934, in Ottawa, Ontario, passed away on September 12, 2026, at the age of 92 in Toronto. He was predeceased by his parents, Herman and Muriel Bjarnason, his stepmother Laura, his brother Carl, and his sister-in-law Pat. Martin is survived by his wife, Feanny Xu; his children, Daniel, Eric (Shannon), and Karin (Michel); his grandchildren, Stephen, Laura, Isabelle, Madeleine, and Zale; and his great-grandchild, Lachlan. He is also remembered by his nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a memorial service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home, located at 6191 Yonge St, Toronto, ON M2M4K4. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to support his son Daniel's care.
