MARLYS ANNE EDWARDH C.M.

Marlys Anne Edwardh C.M. passed away on July 14, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on March 6, 1950, in Lethbridge, Alberta, she later moved to Toronto with her family. Marlys was the beloved partner of the late Graham Turrall, loving sister to the late Grant Edwardh and his wife Marilyn, and caring mother to son Kyle and stepsons David and Ryan. She is survived by her sister Joey Edwardh and her partner Miguel Aravena, as well as her niece and nephews Mel, Mischa, Jason, Matthew, Leslie, Neil, Scott, and Christopher. A distinguished lawyer, Marlys graduated from Carleton University, Osgoode Hall Law School, and the University of California at Berkley. She was a founding partner of Ruby & Edwardh and later joined Goldblatt Partners, becoming one of Canada's leading criminal lawyers. Marlys was appointed Commission Counsel for the Krever Commission and was recognized for her contributions to Canadian society with her appointment to the Order of Canada. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Smith Funeral Home.
