MARK WILLIAM POTOCNIK

Mark William Potocnik passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026. He is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly, and his cherished mother, Francka. Mark was predeceased by his father, 'Ati' Franc. He is also survived by his children, Michael, Rachel, Myles, Melissa, and Christopher, and his beloved father-in-law to Leanna. Mark was a loving brother to Mercedes, Christine, and brother-in-law to Connie, Matthew, and Scott, and was predeceased by his brother, Robert. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Lucas, Samantha, Tyler, Makenzie, Alexander, Kyle, Victoria, Madison, and was predeceased by Jacob, Kaden, Kayleigh, Cody, Triton, Fischer, Athena Leonidas, and Achilles. Mark was the adoring 'Grumpy' to his granddaughter, Mia. He will be missed by his dogs, Willow and Rocky, and their cousins, Oreo, Malibu, and Willow. Friends will be received at Ridley Funeral Home on Monday, May 25th, from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m., with prayers at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Help of Christians, followed by burial at Mount Hope Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Guelph General, Grand River Hospital, and Hospice Wellington for their care. Donations may be made to Hospice Wellington.
