MARINA BADALI
Marina Badali passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 8, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on December 28, 1932, Marina was the youngest and last living of nine children to Giovanni Badali and Maria (née Battaglia). She entered the Loreto Sisters (IBVM) at the age of 18 and was an associate for 27 years. Marina became a teacher and taught at many different schools throughout Southern Ontario, later becoming an Industrial Arts teacher. She was the first female in the Industrial Arts program and stood first in a class of 300 men. Marina taught at James Culnan and retired at the age of 55. She spent her winters in Florida until she was 90 years old and travelled to many different destinations, including Jerusalem and Africa. Marina had a passion for family history and genealogy, tracing back the family history and compiling it in a book for the family to share. She enjoyed her final two-and-a-half years at Presentation Manor, connecting with old friends and making many new friends, and loved playing euchre and bridge. Marina is survived by four generations of nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., Toronto, on Monday, from 5 - 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Clement's Church, 409 Markland Dr., Toronto, on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Toronto.
