Born on February 18, 1944, Maria is remembered by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was loved by her parents, Jose Bodioso and Prazeres Almeida; her siblings, Telmo, Americo, Emilia, Domingos, Mabilde, Elena, and Carlos; her husband, Antonio; her daughters, Christina and Elizabeth; and her grandchildren, Julie, Jasmine, Jonah, and Josiah. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, as well as on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the McDougall & Brown Funeral Home, Scarborough Chapel, located at 2900 Kingston Rd, Scarborough, ON M1M1N5. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. Following the service, a burial will take place from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, located at 2700 Kingston Rd, Scarborough, ON M1M1M5. A reception will follow at the McDougall & Brown Funeral Home, Scarborough Chapel, from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Throughout her many years living with Parkinson's disease, Maria faced each day with a smile, often finding moments to laugh and share a joke despite her challenges.
