She is survived by her daughter, Maria Paula Capela, and was predeceased by her parents, Guilhermina Capela and Isidoro Augusto. Visitation will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Cardinal Funeral Home, located at 366 Bathurst St, Toronto, ON M5T 2S6. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Maria are encouraged to make donations to art programs, oceanic preservation, or animal shelters. Maria's influence on those around her will be fondly remembered and cherished.
