LYNNE ELLEN HINDLE

Lynne Ellen Hindle (nee Downey) passed away on June 16, 2026, at the age of 86. She was the beloved mother of Lara and Aimee, and Noni to Brandi and Jeffrey. Lynne was the sister of Barbara (Wally) Sumner, Tom (Ann) Downey, and Maria (Tom) Dunn, and sister-in-law to Sylvia Downey and Lee Downey. She was also an auntie, great-auntie, and great-great-auntie to her many nieces and nephews. Lynne was predeceased by her husband, F.W. 'Bill' Hindle, and her brothers, Jay and Dale. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Lynne earned a B.Ed. from the University of Manitoba and an M.Ed. from OISE. Her life and career took her to many places, from Flin Flon to Hong Kong, before finally settling in Toronto. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial donations to the charity of your choice.
