LYNDA ELLEN HICKEY

LYNDA ELLEN HICKEY (nee WARBURTON) passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on October 20, 1946, Lyn was predeceased by her son, Paul, and her niece, Chantelle, and her niece, Sherri. She is survived by her parents, Elizabeth and Frederick Warburton, her sister, Kathy (Ron Green), her brothers, Gord (Anna) and John (Joanne), her nieces and nephews, Andrea (Mike), Andrew (Jenn), Philip, Karen (Tim), Lindsay, and her grandnieces and grandnephews. Lyn worked at the Financial/National Post for 30 years and volunteered at the Toronto Botanical Garden, the Music Garden, at Sheppard Lodge and the Toronto Iris Society. She was active in the Voyageurs Ski Club, aquafit classes and watercolour classes at the Momiji Centre. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Sunday, May 31st, from 2-4 p.m., at her home. Cremation and burial will take place privately.
