LOIS MARGARET MACAULAY

Lois Margaret Macaulay passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026. A vibrant and talented individual, Lois is remembered for her love of life and her enthusiasm shared with friends, family, and clients. Her journey in design began in childhood, assisting her mother with sewing. After graduating from the Chamberlain School of Retailing in Boston, she opened a clothing store in Yorkville, Toronto, with a partner, creating their own line. Later, in Maui, she continued her passion by opening another store. Upon returning to Toronto, she founded Lois Macaulay Interior Design, earning recognition as a Past President of the American Society of Interior Designers, winning two ASID Interior Design Awards and receiving two Presidential Citations. Lois is survived by her brother, Douglas, and nephews Brant and Brock, along with their families. The family expresses gratitude to the emergency staff at Mount Sinai and the Palliative Care team at Hennick Bridgepoint.
