LILY Y. GIBSON

Lily Y. Gibson (née Tokiwa), a nurse, teacher, loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at the age of 94. Born in Ocean Falls, BC, she later lived in Beamsville, Ontario, and Toronto. She will be missed by her children, Siubhan (Chris), Gabhan (Gillian) and Niall; grandchildren, Rafferty (Reese), Sorcha, Celeste (Mischa), and Kiyoshi; and by numerous friends and family. She was predeceased by her parents, Masaji and Hiro; siblings, Helen, Paul and Sam; and her beloved son, Iain. A service will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the Cardinal Funeral Home, 366 Bathurst Street, Toronto, at 11 a.m., preceded by Visitation starting at 9 a.m. An interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 33 Memory Gardens Ln., North York. For those who are unable to attend in person, a live feed will be available via the Cardinal Funeral Home website. Memorial Donations may be made to Doctors without Borders/ Médecins Sans Frontières Canada and Trinity St. Paul's United Church.
