LIDIA MARIA SYLVESTRE

Lidia Maria Sylvestre (Spada) passed away on May 3, 2026, at the age of 96. She was the beloved wife of Andrew Sylvestre, with whom she shared 73 years of marriage. Lidia will be lovingly remembered by her husband Andrew; her children, Andrew Jr. (Maria) and Michael (Clare); and her grandchildren, Lidia Jr., Andre, Mathew (Alicia), Michael Jr. (Polina), Samantha (Jay), and Sabrina (Liam). She was also the proud great-grandmother of Myles. Lidia was predeceased by her parents, Ursilia and Antonino Spada; and her siblings, Lionel, Maryanne, and Armida. Born in Montreal, Lidia later moved to Toronto with her husband to join their sons in building their family business. She was a co-founder of Reebok Canada and ESE Sports Company Limited. Lidia served as past president of the CIBPA Ladies' Auxiliary and supported many charitable causes, particularly those focused on helping young women.
