LAURA MARIE JOHNSON

Laura Marie Johnson (nee Nielsen) passed away on June 6, 2026, in Toronto, at the age of 98. Born on November 5, 1927, in Vig, Denmark, Laura dedicated her life to the care of others through her career as a Registered Nurse. She retired from Michael Garron Hospital paediatric unit in 1992. Laura was predeceased by her husband, Karl (born Jorgen Vagn Stamer Michelsen); her brother, Ejnar Nielsen; her sister, Ingrid (Arthur) Andersen; and brother-in-law, Arne. She is survived by her children, Karen, Eric, Paul (Natalie), and stepson Robert (Kay); her grandchildren, Tyler, Ryder, Bryden, and Maveryck; step-grandchildren, Jody and Lori; and her sister, Gerda Hansen, and sister-in-law, Jytte Nielsen. A funeral service to celebrate Laura's life will be held on June 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Danish Lutheran Church of Toronto. Donations can be made to the Danish Lutheran Church Toronto.
