Larry Wendell Isaacson, 76, of Toronto, died peacefully in his sleep on March 27, 2026, at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. He was born on January 15, 1950, to Wendell and Eleanor (Besonen) Isaacson, in Detroit, Michigan. Larry attended Michigan State University as an Evans Scholar and graduated in 1974 with an MBA. He immigrated to Canada in 1974 and became a proud Canadian citizen in 1977. He worked at Sunoco Inc. in Toronto and later at the Toronto Community Housing, from which he retired in 2009 as Director, Information Technology. Larry loved all classical music, but in particular, the music of Mahler and Shostakovich. He was a great collector of CDs, a member of the Toronto Mahler Society, and a longtime subscriber to the TSO. He played badminton with friends at Northern Secondary School and enjoyed many hill-walking trips to Scotland with his wife, Frances. Larry is survived by his wife, Frances Campbell; daughter, Fiona Isaacson; sister, Janis (Dudley) Martin; and brother, Jay (Karen) Isaacson; and many nieces and nephews. It was Larry's wish to be cremated with a private interment at Mt Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Special thanks to the many doctors, nurses, and personal support workers for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation, in Larry's name, to the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre or to Movember.
