JOHN DAVID BRUMELL

John David Brumell was born on April 18, 1935, and passed away on April 26, 2026, at the age of 91. Born in Toronto and raised in Oakville and Winnipeg, he was the son of Jack and Marnie Brumell and the older brother of Ann. David attended several schools, including Brantwood and Gordon Bell High, before working at Investors Syndicate. He later entered the carpet business, establishing his own company, David Brumell Carpet Ltd., and concluded his career with Whitehall Homes until retirement at 72. David met his wife, Deborah Buttenheim, on Georgian Bay, and they were married in Sleepy Hollow, N.Y., in 1967. He is survived by his wife, Deborah, and their three children, Jody, Amanda, and Kate.
