JOAN PATRICIA SKINNER

Joan Patricia Skinner, a devoted elementary school teacher, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026, at the age of 97, at the Sunnybrook Palliative Care Centre in Toronto. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry, in 1980. Joan is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Susan of Toronto and Elizabeth and her husband Keith of Ottawa, as well as her brother, John H. Thomas of Markham, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. A private family interment will be held in Strathroy, Ontario, at the Strathroy Municipal Cemetery, alongside her Thomas family, with the date to be determined in 2027. Joan began her teaching career at Lady Beck Public School in London, Ontario, in 1950, and retired in 1990 from John Ross Robertson Public School in Toronto.
