JOAN ELIZABETH BRUCE

Joan Elizabeth Bruce, aged 75, of Toronto, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026. Born on September 27, 1950, in London, Ontario, she was the daughter of Don and Isobel Bruce, both of whom predeceased her. Joan is survived by her loving husband, Ian Burns, whom she married in 1995. She was a devoted mother to Laura Rubino and Max Rubino (Shaghayegh Bagher) and a cherished Granny to Sean, Darya, and Oscar. A dedicated and innovative teacher, Joan spent many fulfilling years at Birchcliff Public School in Scarborough, where she inspired countless students and colleagues. She brought joy, love, and laughter to all who knew her.
