JANET VICKERS WILSON

Janet Vickers Wilson passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on October 26, 1946, in Chicago, Janet developed a love of reading and talent for writing, leading her to pursue a degree in English at the University of Illinois in Chicago. In 1969, Janet moved to Vancouver and became a proud Canadian. Shortly after, her daughter, Julianna, and son, Andrew, were born, and she focused her time on them. After moving to Toronto and once her children were in school, Janet returned to her love of words and started her career as an editor and writer, which led to many interesting roles, including ghostwriting an autobiography and co-writing a parenting book. One of those roles was writing policies at Unisys Canada, where she met her second husband, Peter, and his daughter, Julia. Janet and Peter enjoyed 36 years together and spent much time traveling and enjoying their children and grandchildren. Janet will be remembered and deeply missed by her beloved husband, Peter; children, Julianna (Evan), Andrew (Lisa), and Julia (Darren); and grandchildren, Athina (Andrew), Sophia, Natalie, Isabella, Lewis, and Nolan. The family would like to thank the staff at Credit Valley Hospital who helped care for Janet.
