JAMES "JIM" BENNETT GILMOUR

JAMES 'JIM' BENNETT GILMOUR passed away peacefully, in his 80th year, on April 27, 2026, at the Palliative Care Unit at Sunnybrook Hospital, in Toronto. Born on September 15, 1946, Jim was deeply grateful to the exceptional doctors, nurses, and staff who cared for him with such compassion and dignity. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Hilda. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Linda; his children, Ryan (Sarah) and Christine; and his cherished grandchildren, Kennedy and Adelaide. He will also be deeply missed by his siblings, Mary (the late David) and Peter (Anna); along with many nephews, nieces, cousins, and extended family and friends who loved him dearly. A visitation will be held at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel on Saturday, May 2nd, from 3 - 6 p.m. The funeral service will take place at St. George's on the Hill on Saturday, May 9th, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada.
