James Hilton

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of James Hilton, who departed this life on September 8, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on September 23, 1944, James was predeceased by his parents, Marjorie and James Hilton, and his brother Geordie. He is survived by his beloved wife Margo, daughters Kate (Sasha Akhavi), Anne (Greg Sullivan), and Betsy (Jamie Macintosh), as well as his cherished grandchildren Jack, Charlie Hilton-Centa, Theo, and Sam Macintosh. He also leaves behind his sisters, Sandy Castledine (Brian Castledine) and Jackie Hilton. Visitation will take place on September 17, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Humphrey Funeral Home A. W. Miles - Newbigging Chapel Ltd. A funeral service will follow on September 18, 2026, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Lawrence Park Community Church, with a reception at Vaughan Estate at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sunnybrook Hospital or the National Ballet of Canada in Jim's memory.
