JACQUES LeBLANC
Joseph Jacques LeBlanc, known to many as Jaq, passed away on July 25, 2026, at his home in Toronto, at the age of 68. Born in 1958 in Ste-Marie, New Brunswick, to Ulysse LeBlanc and the late Marie-Paule LeBlanc, Jaq demonstrated remarkable strength and courage in the face of significant physical challenges throughout his life. He was a devoted advocate for others facing similar challenges, serving on the Board of Directors for the Centre for Independent Living of Toronto. Before his retirement, Jaq worked as an Editorial Assistant for the Toronto Star newspaper. He is survived by his wife, Jeanevabe Forro, brothers Rickey, Rene, and Pierre, nephew Randy, and nieces Carole, Vanessa, and Micheline. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael's Cathedral Basilica in Toronto on August 7, 2026, followed by burial in New Brunswick on August 20, 2026. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Hospital for Sick Children Foundation, the Centre for Independent Living of Toronto, or Notre Dame du Mont Carmel Parish.
