IVANNA MAXYMIW

Ivanna Maxymiw passed away on July 18, 2026, at the age of 100, at the Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre. Born on February 26, 1926, in Vynnyky, Ukraine, to Ivan and Anastasia Chayka, Ivanna spent her early years in Ukraine before relocating to Canada in 1948. She met her husband, Julian Maxymiw, in 1945, and they were married in 1950. Ivanna is survived by her sons, Walter and Bohdan, and their wives, Janet and Myroslava, as well as her grandchildren, Marta, Anna, Julian, and Michaelo, and her great-grandson, Nicholas. She was predeceased by her husband, Julian, in 1989. The family will receive friends at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel on July 23, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and a Funeral Service will be held on July 24, 2026, at 11 a.m., followed by interment at Park Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre would be appreciated.
