Ida Lea Salem

Ida Lea Salem, a resident of Toronto, Ontario, passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 98. Born on June 24, 1928, in Edmonton, Alberta, Ida was surrounded by family, friends, and caregivers, including Dr. Michelle Conron and Dr. Adam Goldman, who cherished her presence. Her warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Visitation will take place on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes, located at 6191 Yonge St, Toronto, ON M2M4K4. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Margaret of Scotland Parish, 222 Ridley Blvd, Toronto, ON M5M3M6, followed by a committal service at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 8361 Yonge St, Thornhill, ON L3T2C7, from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ida's memory to St. Margaret of Scotland Parish.
