Giovanna (Chiarot) Costa

Giovanna (Chiarot) Costa, a resident of Toronto, Ontario, died on August 23, 2026, at the age of 90. She was born on January 24, 1936. Predeceased by her parents, Primo Chiarot and Rina Mascarin, and her brother Beppino Chiarot, she is survived by her husband Aldo Costa; her sons Larry Costa (married to Pauline) and Dario Costa (married to Filomena); her grandchildren Alicia, Alexander (Alexandra), Erik (Natalia), Gregory, Nicholas (Tanja) and Sebastian; her great‑grandchildren Nova and Austin; and her siblings Bruna Chiarot (late Duilio), Maria Rosa Rinoldi (late Giovanni) and Roberto Chiarot, along with numerous extended family members and friends. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Rd E, Thornhill, ON. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 12:00 PM in the Chapel of St. Joseph at the same location. Contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
